What is the difference between kettle CKD and Kettle SKD
There are three packaging options for exporting kettles: finished kettles, SKD kettles, and CKD kettles. What are the differences between these three shipping methods?
Finished kettles: All the components are already assembled, allowing customers to purchase them directly without further assembly.
Advantages: No reassembly required, no labor costs, and no assembly line required; initial investment only requires the cost of the finished product.
Disadvantages:
1. High tariffs in the importing country, which can be twice as expensive as importing fully knocked-down units.
2. High logistics costs; one 40-hq container can only hold approximately 8,000 finished kettles.

SKD (Semi-knocked Down) Kettles: Kettles are exported as semi-knocked-down units (SKDs). Core components, such as the heating plate, spout, and nut, are partially assembled but still require some local processing or assembly, such as local assembly of plastic parts and screws.
Advantages:
1. Lower tariffs in the importing country (because it's not a fully finished product, it may qualify for preferential tax rates).
2. Assembly requires only an assembly line; no production equipment is required.
Disadvantages:
1. High logistics costs; the space occupied by finished kettles is roughly the same as that of finished kettles; one 20-gp container can hold approximately 3,600 units.
2. Components must be reassembled locally, requiring an assembly line and labor costs.

CKD (Knocked Down) Kettles: Kettles are exported as fully knocked-down units (CKDs). All components are completely disassembled and fully assembled in the importing country.
Advantages:
Lower tariffs in the importing country (because it's not a fully finished product, it may qualify for preferential tax rates).
2. Low logistics costs. One 20gb kettle can hold approximately 7.2k CKD kettles, saving almost half the logistics costs of finished products, SKD kettles, and SKD kettles.
Disadvantages:
1. Components must be assembled locally, requiring three pieces of assembly equipment and a production line. These three pieces of equipment are: a kettle body crimping machine (for connecting the kettle body to the heating plate), a spout spot welder, and a spool spot welder.
