What is an Electric Rice Cooker Heating Plate

Heating plates are common heating elements found in a variety of electrical appliances. Their primary function is to convert electrical energy into heat, thereby achieving heating.

A Complete Analysis of Aluminum Heating Plate Technology for Household Appliances: From Development History to Future Trends

Chapter 1: The Development of Aluminum Heating Plates

1.1 Early Exploration of Electric Heating Elements (1920s-1950s)

1920s: The first electric rice cookers used exposed resistance wire, which was inefficient and dangerous.

1930s: Mica-coated heating plates appeared and were used in early electric irons.

1945: Sunbeam, a US company, launched the first aluminum alloy heating plate, increasing thermal efficiency by 35%.

1.2 Breakthroughs in Aluminum Applications (1960s-1980s)

1967: Panasonic Corporation of Japan developed and mass-produced die-cast aluminum alloy heating plates.

1972: Anodizing technology was introduced to address the problem of aluminum surface oxidation. 1985: US UL certification requires aluminum heating plates to have dual temperature control.

Currently, there are two main types of heating plates for home appliances on the market, each with a different production process:

1. Traditional die-cast heating plates: Aluminum ingots are melted into molten aluminum, then die-cast using a die-casting machine.

The main materials used include: ADC12 aluminum ingots, iron heating tubes, magnesium powder, heating wire, iron spacers, ceramic beads, and glue.

The production process involves: using a die-casting machine to die-cast the heating plate. The molten aluminum is heated to approximately 680°C. After the heating plate cools, a punch is used to remove the nozzle. A drilling and tapping machine is then used to drill and tap the heating plate. Finally, a lathe is used to lathe the heating plate surface. Next, the heating plate is stitched. After passing resistance and voltage tests, the heating plate passes a conveyor belt, where it is coated with glue and ceramic beads and finally spot welded to the soldering iron foot. Surface finishes include natural color, anodizing, and painting.

2. Mica Heating Plate

Main Materials: Aluminum coil and mica sheet. Production Process: Aluminum coil is stamped and then assembled into mica sheet. Surface Finishes: Natural and electroplated.

Summary: Compared to these two types of heating plates, the first type is widely used and stable in the market, but the cost is higher. The second type is a newer type, less commonly used in the market, and offers a relatively high cost-performance ratio.

Can the power be customized?

The answer is yes. The power of the heating plate varies depending on the specific appliance. For household appliances, the power ranges from 350W, 450W, 550W, 700W, 900W, 1000W, 1200W, and 1300W; for commercial rice cooker heating plate, the power ranges from 1600W, 1800W, 2200W, 2500W, 3000W, 3500W, and 4000W. Power can be customized according to customer requirements.

Application

There are a variety of small appliances on the market. The main appliances that require heating plates are: electric pressure cookers, rice cookers, stew pots, health pots, coffee pots, soy milk makers, etc.
